"Beyond the Borders"
In this recording James has created a unique blend of musical arrangements using styles and instruments from various traditions. The songs on this CD are taken from around the world and include Latin rhythms, Flamenco and Gypsy, and American Jazz. Ranging from Miles Davis to the Beatles to Django Reinhardt, this global mixture celebrates musical diversity and freedom.
"Upon receiving James Moody’s Beyond the Borders I was pleasantly surprised to see the different directions this guitarist was taking, from a re-working of Wes Montgomery’s Road Song through a sweet rendition of Samba Pa Ti, James is comfortably in command. A pleasure to listen to all the way through!!!"
Sal Maffettone, KMMT-Jazz
